Lansdown Place, Clifton, Bristol
PHD were originally appointed to provide a costed condition survey of this 5 storey Grade II* Listed Townhouse in Clifton, Bristol. Since this instruction, PHD have been retained to design, tender and manage a programme of internal and external improvement works to the building. This work has included obtaining listed building consent for the upgrade works which include complete replacement of the defective roof and rooflights along with specialist stonework repairs and cleaning and sash window repairs and redecoration.
The Wild Place, Head Office, Bristol
PHD were appointed as building surveyors to undertake a condition survey of a Grade II listed manor house on the outskirts of Bristol. Using our inhouse drone capabilities, we were able to fully inspect all areas of the building externally and identify a number of issues in otherwise inaccessible areas. We identified a programme of costed work options to our client to inform refurbishment of the building.
BANES – Fairfield House, Bath
Our Building Surveying team were appointed by Bath and North East Somerset Council (BANES) to provide a condition survey of Fairfield House in Bath. The property is a Grade II listed building, and is of local historical importance as it was the residence of Haile Selassie I, Emperor of Ethiopia, during the five years he spent in exile. Our instruction was to provide a condition survey and planned maintenance schedule over a five year reporting period, identifying urgent and short term matters that required repair. The building is a late Georgian style villa of traditional construction, and required extensive alterations to the services to maintain this important local asset.
